Rebuilding My Photography Business After Motherhood
After years of motherhood, brain fog, and the quiet reshaping that life does to a person, I’m restarting my photography business from the ground up. The industry has changed, I’ve changed, and the images I once loved don’t reflect the way I see the world anymore. Beginning again feels both terrifying and honest — a chance to rebuild my creative identity, reconnect with the kind of storytelling that matters to me, and create work that feels true to this new season of life.
I Have an Idea
I’ve been dreaming up something new: a Photoshoot Mini Series. Instead of one long session, imagine 3–4 shorter sessions spread across a season, each built around activities that truly reflect your family’s story. Fall hiking, bonfires, baking, apple picking — or for couples, date nights leading up to an engagement. For newborns, those first milestones. For seniors, the places and passions that define them. Each session adds a chapter, and together they create a whole book of memories. It’s variety, authenticity, and storytelling that feels like you.
Fall Family Wardrobe Guide: A Style That Reflects Your Family’s Unique Personality
ooking for the best fall family photo outfits in Montana? The key is warm earthy tones — rust, rosewood, mustard, olive, cream, and tan — paired with cozy textures like knits, linen, corduroy, and gauze. From mom in a flowing rust floral dress to dad in a grounded canvas jacket, each family member’s look adds whimsy, strength, mood, energy, or innocence. Together, these colors create timeless, cohesive portraits that shine in Montana’s golden fall light.
